First Steps on the Platform as a Mentor

Welcome to Mentor Lane!

First, thank you for signing up as a mentor. As a mentor, you play a vital role in helping a person become the best version of themselves. Mentors are the Heroes of the Mentor Lane community – without you none of this could exist.

As a mentor, not only will you discover a rewarding mentorship experience, but also a whole community of mentors and mentees who support each other.

Your first step is to create your Mentor profile.

First, answer a few multiple choice questions about what best describes you and your experiences. We use this input for the Matching Process so that we can match you with the best fitting mentees. Your first three selected options are always the most important and will be weighted more heavily for matching.

At the end, you have the chance to describe yourself, your experiences and what qualifies you as a mentor in your own words. This is a great opportunity to make a strong first impression, because your profile is the first thing that a potential mentee will see about you.

Next, simply upload a profile picture of yourself or create one directly via the platform.

Finally, following a successful evaluation by The Mentor Lane team, your profile will be officially activated.

And that’s it! You are then an official mentor and can receive your first mentorship requests.
